COIN 4 Has Been Found!
The first coin has been found! Coin #4 is the first coin in the spring hunt to be brought into The Times offices. Paul Folk, who has been a hunter for several years, brought the coin in this morning. Paul has never won the grand prize, but has found hidden objects in two of our past hunts. Mr. Folk is a retired Scottsdale police officer.
Paul found the coin hidden under the railing of the bridge between the two lakes at Granada Park in north Phoenix. He put it all together after the 5th clue was released on Friday. That clue referred to a “red fruit, a city and a province” all having the same name. The word we were looking for was of course Granada, which is pomegranate in Spanish. It is also the name of a French province.
The coin was attached under the railing with mounting tape.
There are still four coins out there somewhere. We’ve checked and all are in their respective places. If you haven’t read the new important rule, please return to the main Treasure Hunt page and follow the link.
Happy hunting!
Clue #1 -
Find this coin and you might get paid. Like the coin you’ll have it made in the shade.
Clue #2 -
Go north to find this coin, and if you’re traveling in a car, you might pass the important street, and you’ll know you’ve gone too far.
Clue #3 -
If you’re looking in the right place, some fish you may have caught. These clues are pretty vague, though we may be being wrought.
Clue #4 -
Two bodies of water both have the same name – a stream connects the two. Hanging around a bridge is what you’ll want to do.
Clue #5 -
A red fruit, a city and a province all have the same name. Figure out what it is and you’ll be ahead of the game.
