Times Publications Treasure Hunt - Coin #2
Clues for Certificate Number 1
.

COIN 2 Has Been Found!

Robert Kucera has found Coin #2 finally bringing our Spring Treasure Hunt to a close. The coin was found hidden in a palm tree located on the southwest corner of Power Road and Dallas Street in Mesa.

The coin was wedged into the palm tree; a picture depicting it in its hiding place was released as Clue #7 last Friday. Robert said he had looked around the area before, but didn’t find it. He returned after seeing the picture in Clue #7.

Coin #2 did prove to be the most difficult to find not only due to its hiding place, but because hunters had a difficult time putting the clues together.

Clue #1 referred to the “confines of your hand,” which of course was talking about your palm. Clue #2 also referred to a kind “not read” which meant a palm tree and not a person’s palm.

Clues #3 and #4 referred to the presidential numbers of the two Bush’s. Power road eventually leads to Bush Highway.

The city names reference in Clue #5 referred to Dallas Street and Decatur Street. Decatur is the street running east and west immediately south of Dallas Street.

Thank you to all who participated in this hunt. We know there were many hunters close to finding a coin who came up empty. We hope you enjoyed the fun as much as we did, and that you’ll participate in a future contest.

If you have questions on other clues released and their references, feel free to email us or to Tweet the question. We’ll be happy to reveal the meaning behind each respective clue.

Clue #1 - Go confidently after this coin, and though the answer may be on land, you’ll find a little insight in the confines of your hand.

Clue #2 - If you come upon the area, be careful where you tread. It’s hidden in one of those, but not the kind that’s read.

Clue #3 - If you’re following us on Twitter then you have a bonus clue, and the numbers 41 and 43 may later help you, too.

Clue #4 - We gave a couple of numbers in Clue #3. If you’re on the right path power your way south ‘cause that’s where you’ll want to be.

Clue #5 - This is a tough coin to find, of that there is no doubt. Look between the city names. We hope that helps you out.

Clue #6 - Stay near the corner; the hunt is going great. If the hiding place could dance, it wouldn’t have a date.
